    • @__Don__Yes you can sleep in the same room as the CO2 pitfalls are in. The CO2 generators, the bottles that contains the yeast and sugar mixture, produce about the same CO2 equivalent contained in the respiration of a small animal, like a hamster or a bat. In fact it is on bats (not solitary hamsters) that bedbugs have evolved and the CO2 contained in the breath of a single bat is enough to attract a bedbug. Humans give off hundreds of times more CO2 that is needed because we are much larger than a bat or a hamster, so the amount of CO2 coming from the trap (the pitfalls) will never be enough to even be noticed as additional CO2 in the room. The CO2 traps are 100% safe, as harmless as having a small animal in the same room, no pesticide and no poison involved.

Even more than that, it is important that you remain in the room and be able to sleep without a single bite. If you move out of the room, bedbugs will either become dormant and last for months, or they will follow you and make a second harborage, another nice bedbug nursery, spreading bedbugs with good intentions, trying to get away from them. We know what bedbugs do and how they will react. Bedbugs do not have a brain, a mere swelling of the spinal nerve, every thing about bedbugs is instincts, and instincts are predictable and can be used against them.

A primal instinct is hunger, it drives bedbugs out of their hiding places, hungry bedbugs going towards the only warm spot in the room, a warm-blooded human peacefully sleeping on its bed at night, a free bedbug meal triggered by the body heat and the CO2 coming from the breath of its host.

We have bedbugs only because we feed them. Without our blood to feed on, bedbugs are nothing and soon to be extinct! That’s why I made the bedbug trap and why I give it to whom ever wants to make one of his own. It is what I did for myself with the cheapeast and the most available (recycled) materials anybody can find around, the traps have to be available to everybody, no matter their fortune or misfortune. This is not about money, it is about elminating bedbugs and for good. Death by starvation, in the case of active bedbugs it take a few weeks. Dormant bedbugs can last up to three months. The one year old bedbug is a myth.
